How much space do you need? You could get some scrap 1/2" mdf and cut spacer rings from it.

YOU CAN CUT THE BASKET OUT AND IT MIGHT CAUSE TWP PORBLEMS

1- YOULL GET WATER IN THE SPEAKER ( IF YOU LOOK AT THE BASKET THERES A WATER GUARD ON IT )

2- ONCE YOU CUT THE BASKET YOULL GET THE DEPT OUT OF THE WAY BUT THE BASKET ON THE INFINTY SPEKER MIGHT BE TO BROAD AND YOU MIGHT HAVE TO SHAVE ALLOT OF THE PLASTIC BASKET

OR YOU CAN DO THIS BUY A SET OF SPACERS THAT METRA MAKES THERE PROFESINAL LOOKING AND THEY WONT SPONGE UP AFTER TIME LIKE MDF DOES IF NOT COTED RIGHT THE PART NUMBER IS 82-4300 FROM METRA ABOUT 7$ A PAIR

you don't the original OEM spacer it will be to much space in the front and your door panel the stock spacer is 3/4 inch thick , so if you make your own just make sure the total amount is 1 inch

the OEM spacer and the one your going to make should = a total of 1 inch other wise your going to have issues of putting the grill back on

Just get a sharp knife and hack the plastic out of the way and get foam baffels. Also, you'll need to get a mounting ring that will bolt to the three factory holes then the speaker mounts to that. If you make spacers you won't be able to get the factory grille back on the speaker areas and it'll look like hell.

When I put my Perfect 6.1s in I had to chop out all the plastic in that area and some of the metal behind it. I just put rubber paint on the cut metal and the baffels around the speakers and never had a problem.
