i have a 98 hx and had the base to an ipod dock and have an ipod cable running through the back of my ipod deck, any good ideas on how to cut out a piece of the center counsel or any other ideas so i can just set my ipod into the dock instead of keeping it in my glove box.... thanks!

Um, dremel, plastic filler, epoxy, sand paper, spray paint, metal brackets and self tapping screws? Just like any other custom install.

 

You could just run the wire under your center console and come out where the e-brake cable is. The ipod could sit right under your e-brake cable... in that little spot.

 

Nah, this is what I did:



iPod bracket attached to the dash with self tapping screws, and a retractable 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable.

Eventually i'm going to buy an iPod car charger with audio output and rewire it to be hardwired into the cigarette lighter circuit, with a dock connector wire coming out near the stereo.
