ORIGINAL: Irishdrunk

I ran my ipod cord through a tiny opening into the glove box (2000 civic), so yours should be about the same, its a good place for it too, since its all interfaced with the deck you can just throw it in there.

I guess if you want it kinda displayed out and about to look neat that won't work, but hey.

That unit looks amazing, I plan on getting one in the future...Does it work with AMP Link from V12 amps??
and i got no idea if it can link to thier amps... i know its got special stuff if ya use a processor....

and i know i could just throw the ipod anywhere.... BUT id like to keep it so i can easily remove and conect it... so i can just drop it inplace and have it conected and charging... and then just pull it up and out and go on my way....
i listen to it at work all the time
poping it in the car is just a plus

plus i like to show off my ride and be proud of it... nothing proud about a loose cable just layen thru the car.LOL

i think ill use the liquid plastic stuff i got and drill the stuff out....
i MIGHT be able to do a good job with a drill press and this adjustable/slide visgrip... at least I HOPE!

well the stuff i do doesnt need alot of tools either....

cordless screw gun, little cheap dremel, cheap 20$ soldering gun, a jigsaw, hot glue gun , and a metric and standard socket drive set, and some allen wrenches, and course some screw drivers.... thats about all i usualy use..... my dads got tons of tools but you realy dont need most of em... just basics!

and tax time every year helps me alot to buy expensive toys like this.LMFAO
hell look at my cluster led swap.. just needed srewdriver, dremel and hot glue gun hot glue is preaty cheap.... and might i say... quite versital i use it ALOT suprisingly enough..... ya got that speaker box that carpet is comen loose all the time.... little dab of hot glue and press down the carpet for alittle to let glue cool... fixed
got a trim panel that wont hold.... little dab of hot glue and press down till glue cools... fixed
want to attach something under your dash like a light.... little dab L do ya
its not just something your grandma uses on craft projects anymore LMFAO

tho my sigs always suck.LOL
techinicaly my car looks kinda bad now without the rims

didnt feel like puting the hub caps on the stock wheels...LOL so i just spray painted the chrome lugs black quickly when i bolted the stockers back on. LMFAO
but at least now i have alittle control on the snow and ice...

ya i just want mine where i can slide it on and just grab and go with it....

and i thnk im gonna try to drill some new holes in the cars mounting brackets and move the radio back about 1/4-1/2inch back... and just glueing the trim ring to the bezel itself so the radios at least flush...
cause right now it sticks out about 1/4-1/2inch from the trim ring

well it was almost my whole tax check. LMFAO
but i think its so worth it!!!!!!!
i also just bought a used interface so i can hook up my sirius radio directly into it... cause tho i DO LIKE my current addON sirius unit cause it has that REPLAY feature and memory to save my favorite songs... BUT its preaty large and keeps falling from my suction cup mount and wires hangen im just tired of it.... i just hope it has some of the features with the alpine intergrated unit...

another sweet thing is i just found a site that can do the custom backgrounds for the unit cause the ones alpine gives ya sucks!
YEAH!!!!! to anyone that has a alpine... check out thier stuff
http://www.pride-rock.com/forum/apnl...SC&start=0

another thing is when i had my clarion it would distort at about 3/4volume.... and with this alpine unit... i crank it to its fullest and it sounds as good as my speakers will let it.LOL

im still trying to tweek the signals.. but so far it sounds great!
im very impressed with the unit! tho the only thing i hate is that trim ring that i had to modify...
i also want to pull the radio out and see how much space i have behind the unit... cause if i have enough space id like to drill out the mounting holes in the stock bracket and basicaly move the radio back about 1/4-1/2inch so that the radio sits flush with the trim ring... which will make it look ALOT BETER!
