Default Looking for a system...

I have a 96 Civic CX, and I want to put a decent sound system into it. Im not looking to spend over a g, my friend put two 12's and 7' kicker speakers in his Integra for under $500. Any advice/brands that anyone recommends?

My favorite amps and subs are Alpine, but Infinity, JL, Kicker (not the cheap comps), and Focal all make good stuff and are very reputable brands. and if you are wanting to get it cheap you could prolly findsome Infinity, alpine, or kickerin you range

Thanks guys, I just found 2 12' JL Audio Subs w/ box for $100. Gonna try to meet the guy to hear them, then take them right away if they sound good.

yea what do you mean 7" inch speakers or was it a typo and meant 6" inch speakers? I'm an authorized Kicker installer and there are no such thing as 7" speakers (by Kicker).

Srry my mistake, there 6"s he has, and the subs I found are 10's. Still sounds good to me, gonna go grab em on Tuesday. I also found I can get cheap Pioneer speakers for the interior, I already have a JVC KD-6310 deck already installed. Any suggestions on a good amp? (I have no idea about amps/how they work/what kind I need for the best sound. Help is greatly appreciated).
