ya but the cap takes in more powe and stores it so it doesn't pull it alot at one time like when a big bass hits on the subs and i just used the pwoer and its gone and it takes in more the cap can store power to keep ur subs running even if u disconnect it form the battery

 

cuz my friend had 2 jl audio 1000/1 amps and a 450/4 amp all hooked up and he had a capacitor and there was no lights blinking. but without the cap...every light blinked...so explain that

do they have thier stock ground? cause if so thats why!
cause it cannt pull enough juice from the battery upfront thru the ground cable.... which inturns pulls it from the cap cause it cannt get enough voltage thru the factory ground wire which is small as hell!



tell him to upgrade his ground wires to some 1/0gauge
its called the big 3 upgrade....
battery to body battery to frame and battery to engine block... as well as 4gauge wire from your alternator to the battery...

if you do the big 3 upgrade and ditch the cap your dimming should be mostly ellimitated... now im not going to say all of it cause no clue how large or efficent your electrical system and system are....

ask around ANY well knownAUDIO FORUM......... you will hear the same!


hell look at your stock alt it reads what 70amps stock... so your car can pull up to 70amps ALONE.... which is what your ground system was designed for...... now add a stereo system pullen juice from those same STOCK ground wires... and the wires are to small which then inturn limits your voltage transfere which inturns makes your lights dim...... UPGRADE THEM GROUNDS BOY!
