I'm quite the newb when it comes to car audio and I'm needing some help making a sweet system. The most I want to try to spend is $800 for all this:

-one or two subs
-amp for sub(s)
-amp for speakers
-6.5 (possibly components)
-6x9s
-sub box
-anything else that you think might be necessary.

And this might not all be at once, i just want some opinions about some quality brands....also, will iNEED a high capacity alternator for this?

alpine, power acoustik, kicker, jl.
polk db6000 or infinity kappa cs60.7's
infinity, polk, eclipse. ( will give better highs)
amp wiring kit strong enough for the amp
build a box or buy one that you like.

 

Are you looking for boom or quality or both

 

I have just a single L5 12 off of a kicker KX 1200.1. For mids and highs I got all Rockford power series speakers with a crossfire 600x4... And a 4 guage wiring kit... It's clear and hits just hard enough to shake sh*t... that's just my input... all for about 750 i believe...

 

I would get a 5 channel amp for speakers and a sub.
