Default New car, New audio!!

I have a pair of 12 inch Kickers that a buddy of mine is giving me already in a box. I need recommendations as to how I should set this up to get the most out of them. What amp do you guys recommend? I want QUALITY. Is there anything specific I should do when hooking them up to the amp? Also I want to upgrade the speakers and head-unit, what do you guys recommend asfar as QUALITY?

well if your subs are going to be in the trunk, a ported box is what I would say. DO NOT CHEAP THE BOX! if you want quality have a well built box that is tuned to the speakers' parameters. For your bang for your buck, kickers are a good choice.

Also, if you know the ohm load, and how they are wired up in your box, then you should be able to wire them correctly to an amp. When you get an amp, try and match the RMS rating to boch the woofers and the amp so that you are getting a balanced system.

ohh, also dont cheap on wire either, the better the wire, the cleaner the signal, but dont go overboard either.

I have 2 kicker cvr 12s in their ported box they make for it. Just that alone on a quantum 1500 watt mono amp bumps good. I just got 2 more 12's and i'm going to have to find 2 single 12" boxes, sell my amp and get a 3000 watt. Anyone have any wiring recomendations if each sub is a 2 ohm dual voice coil? Any advice at all would be beneficial.
