Default No rear speakers

I just bought my civic, and the rear speakers aren't puting out any sound, but fronts work fine... what should I look for? And yes, the fade adjustment is in the correct position.

I can't believe how incredibly crappy the stock honda head unit is... no bass output whatsoever. [:'(]

Did the previous owner have a 4ch amp installed? If so, they could have screwed up installing it. If thats not it, take it to a reputable dealer and have them look at it. They may or may not charge you.

Used, 117k miles... so I'm assuming there's no warranty. I'm going to go mess around with it and see what happens... I'm no dummy when it comes to electronics, I was curiouse if there was a common problem like a certain spot a wire gets pinched or something.

Thanks for the input.

I figured it out. I spent a bunch of time just rifling through the car and found a couple of things, like one of those stupid bass-sensitive neon lights under the dash (which I removed) and a couple of amp wiring kits (which I left in) and I found that the previouse owner had used the rear speaker circuits to power the amps in the truck, so I re-wired them and presto! Now the speakers work...

Thanks for the help everyone.
