Ohms
well to many factors for that...
for instance most ported boxes are LOUDER inside the vehicle BUT quiter outside.... which is direct oposite from most sealed boxes
quiter inside but louder otuside the car...
also depends on the box position and aiming!
check it out...
my old subwoofer box... same amp and same sub... same port tuning also... just different aiming with the sub firing into the car
old box

well i got a sealed box facing towards the trunk....the slanted part of the box has the amp on it, so the box sits up with the subs angled 90 degrees to the trunk floor so when you open the trunk they are pointed str8 at your stomach. My trunk rattles worse than yours in that old box!! but thats really all you can hear outside the car I DONT GET IT!!!
you could also check your trunk seal....
with my old trunk seal my trunk rattled even worse than that!
it was all flattened out and leaked water in when i went thru the car wash
its a preaty cheap seal direct from honda... i think mine was like 36bucks I THINK.... cannt remember exactly...
and also if you havent yet... be sure to firmly attach the box to the car!!!!!!
to prevent it from sliding around... and also to prevent theft....
just be sure check where you do any drilling or using selftaping screws... dont want to hit the gas tank or any wiring.... it would be preaty easy to just use some steel straps of some sort... either solid steel or just some thin metal straps... but solid would be beter.... doesnt have to be realy thick...
just put it up flat against the sides of the box. one passenger and one drivers side..... then just bend it over at the right height to touch the rear speaker deck and just use some short selftaping screws and snug em down to the rear deck and with some wood screws into the box....
then ya dont have to worry about theft as much.... cause most thefts are smash and grabs... ya bolt your box down to the car and thier goes thier smash and grab... then ya just have to fix the damage they did geting into the car...
and lets face it... if its not bolted down they just have to rip some wires off the amp and just pickup your box with your sub and amp attached... easy theft!
also if in a accident they wont come flying projectiles

yea thanx ill havta look into that.... i was thinking jus put a bunch of velcro on the bottom to stop the sliding, but velcro wont stop my shiit frum gettin stolen lol however this still doesnt answer y i cant hear me comin from a block away!!! lol
well like i said... depends on alot...LOL song, and the vehicle...
but one block away is asking alot for just something with ruffly 300watts....
but i wouldnt want to be heard far away.... cause when people hear you far away they might posibly even follow you home and wait for you to fall asleep to jack your stuff thinking its realy good stuff
easiest way to be sure your stuff is safe.. is how long it takes you to instal.... or secure....
cause when its being stolen it will be half that time!!!!!
if they are realy prepared they might have some steel cutters or just rip the straps right out if thiers not a few good screws into the box and the vehicle..... but either way it slows them down and every second counts from freedom and geting caught!

lol well the 300 watts is really loud but i agree, thsts actually y i started this thread in the first place!! lol i wanted more watts to my subs it seems like a waste of a 1000 watt amp wit only 300 watts comin out, i think eventually i will get another amp and have each sub have a bridged amp going to it, like 350 watts each, then there will b no excuse for y i cant hear it down the block! lol
you could buy another amp BUT would be best to just swap the amp out...
then ya dont have to have 2 amps... 2 sets of wires.... also setting two amplifiers exactly the same is very hard without the right tools and still not always perfect... so your subs might actualy be fighting eachother....
so just buy a new amp for the perfect combo for the easiest cleanest setup....
for instance... one amp just poped into my head... which is what im using on a side note right now.LMFAO
JBL BP600.1
its alittle older amplifier style but that amp would work perfect with those subs.....
puts out max power at 2ohms.... its a mono channel amplifier. and still preaty small
i paid 110bucks shiped for my amp which is a preaty good price for one thats in decent condition.... tho if buying one off ebay id be sure of thier feedback..... cause not every amp still works..LOL it doesnt mean its fraud if thiers a low or NO feedback.... BUT its more of a atyour own risk thing....
tho sorry i dont wanna sell mine
i gotta have my bass! LMFAO
but when i upgrade the amplfier or sell my subwoofer i will have the amp for sale.... im just realy short on cash.... so it might be afew months.

well i actually bought the 1000 watt one for that very reason, so i didnt have to have 2 amps, but apparently a 1000 watt amp can only push out 160 watts to 2 channels 320 total!!!!! the larger amps are jus so much money im not sure if it would be worth it the subs i have now are perfect, i jus wanna b thumpin down the road lol its not worth 300 more dollars to be thumpin down the rroad lol
