well thanx for the replies but ive just aborted on the ohms its at 4 now and it sounds sweet on 4 so ill leave it at that! watever that means i do not kno, but quite frankly i dont care! lol
There is a really easy to use and understand diagram on Crutchfield advisor, heres the link
http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/S-...rs_wiring.html
It shows you all your wiring options for different voice coils, wattage, ohms and etc, and tells you what your amp will run power wise when you hook them up that way.
You can easily dammage an amp that will not be stable at 2 ohms by running a 2 ohm load, likewise you can easily dammage speakers by running them at a low power wattage when they call for something much larger, its called "clipping", it occurs when your amp is not suited to the speaker match. You always want to run your subs in the upper 75% of the RMS wattage they call for, however you have it wired.
I have seen a profile amp bridged on 2 10" JL w3 free air subs, it rocked my world in a little Eclipse, they are underrated amps if you ask me, but they just might not last as long.
Check out that link, it will serve you well for the future, I have it on my fav's list, i use it constantly, lol.
