Ok... MAJOR Audio problems... 95' ex
I had a really nice audio set up in my 95' ex. I wired up an am/fm modulator to listen to my ipod. One day I accentally yanked the wire that runs to my ipod from the modulator, which is sitting behind the stereo, while shifting. W/ in a few seconds I smelled something burning and my radio shut off.
Get this... now the digital clock is VERY dim and starts over at 100 o' clock everytime I turn the key over. I've tried installing a new radio but can't get a ground to work. The exsisting wires for the stero appear to be fine. I couldn't find a popped fuse. Something burned up in the dash and I'm afraid to pull it b/c it appears to be a pain in the ***. Any clues????

The "always on" power for the radio comes from a 7.5A fuse in the fuse box under the hood next to the battery. It is labeled "BACK UP" on the fuse box cover. Probably it is blown. Check all the wires behind the radio very carefully.
If you're installing a new radio, buy one with an ipod interface or at least a line "AUX" input. It will deliver better sound from your ipod than using a modulator.
