Default problem with my speakers?

ok, since getting my sub installed, i noticed that when start my car, the speakers take a little bit of time to kick in. the sub goes right on, then the speakers come on in about a sec. i just want to know if anyone else has had this happen to them, and if they know why it happens. I have a single 4 channel amp powering 5.25" pioneer rev components up front and have bridged the 8" square type kicker L5 sub. the rear speakers are 6.5" 2/3 way pioneer rev kind, and it's powered by the head unit a pioneer avh-p6600 dvd.
