doesnt matter ...... depends on what amp your gonna use .... is your amp 2 ohm , 1 ohm , etc. and what number of subs are you running...... all that will determine what ohm load you want

 

k if im buying alpine type r 12" subs 2 of them and a alpine mrp m1000 amp what ohm subs should i buy?

your gonna want dual 2 ohm subs...... youll wire them up in whats called a series parallel ...... bottom line is youll have a 2 ohm load when your done...... i can explain how to hook em up but it will be much easier if you find a diagram online

You can run more than one speaker from a single amp channel by wiring the speakers in series or in parallel. Series wiring will raise the load (resistance) that your amp sees, and parallel wiring will lower it. Be certain your amp is 2-ohm stable before wiring speakers in parallel.

 

kinda.... its a combination of the 2 called SERIES/PARRELLEL

since the type Rs are dual voice coils wire the... o hell with it. ghetto pic

you wire each sub in series, and then wire the 2 subs together in parrellel
