i have a alpine deck and polk speakrs and i am waiing for my 4 channel amp to come in but i only have one remote line on the harness of my deck...which i kno is what controls when u turn the sub elvel up or down but do i need to connect that to the 4 channel amp or will it run without it?

ohhh i did some research someone tlel me if this is right
the rem line is what turn the amps on and off with the deck...so the rem line isn't what controls the sub level when u turn it up on the deck that just goes through the RCAs right?
so to conect to amps i have to just run 2 wire off of the REM on the harness

on Alpine decks when you change the sub level all you are doing is sending or retracting voltage from the RCA's. Full/maxed out is when you get Alpines rated RCA output which is more than likely around 3 to 4 volts

the REM wire is a wire that goes to your amp and turns the amp on and off when the radio comes on and off that way its not always on . on your alpine it should be a blue or blue with white strip
there is a REM line which is different , the REM line is a bass controller that hooks up to the amps , alpine doesn't provide this wire only the amp companies do , ( its usually option all ) this way you can turn the Bass up and down from the front instead the rear where the amp is
