Default Replacing head unit in 95 coupe

Hi all...trying to replace the aftermarket head unit in my girl's car with a new one. It's a 95 coupe...anyone have instructions on how to get to the head unit? Does the entire dash need to come off? Thx in advance for any help...never done one of these cars before.

I have a 95 civic sedan so i don't know if this is the same.

under the stock radio near the cup holder is a where the cigarette lighter is and if u run your hand along the side of the plastic that holds the cigarette lighter and goes from the ground up to right under the stock radio u can unscrew it i believe its philips. then the plastic piece should come off and u will have to unplug the cigarette lighter then u can get your hand to the back of the radio and unplug it. I don't remember exactly how it comes out i believe there are 2 clips on the radio taht u need to put a flat head into and push on the flat head a little, then push on one side of the radio and it should get it loose. Then do the same thing for the other side, and it should come out with no problem. You might back to split the black ribbed casing and some zip ties in order to get the wires for the radio so u can hook up the after market cd player. Take out the screws out of the after market. put the case into the hole. It won't exactly fit in there so u will have to push in one side alittle then the other side. Hook up your wiring harness or reconnect the wires from the old radio to the wiring for your cd player. Connect all the wires. put it in there and turn on your car and it should work. Let me know if it doesn't work and ill see what i can do.

o yea and there are 2 bolts on the top of the plastic where it curves up and goes to under the radio. Those are very important to take off otherwise you'll snap the plastic and have to get another one.

ok hope this helps this is a pic for a hands free cel phone holder but don't pay attention to the words on the pic . first take out the screws that hold the console yellow arrows then take out the ash tray there is a screw that holds the radio in teal arrow then pull the console out becareful it can break then unhook the wire to the cig lighter the pink arrow. the radio should come out then you can put the after market cd player in
