Default security?

I'm on my blackberry again, so sorry if this thread looks different or messed up.

But I have recently moved out on my own in an appartment and I can't always park my car infront of my own place, and I have invested a lot of my money into my car, and need a security system. What kind of car alarms do u guys have? I'm wanting to get the one of the best that I can, I can spend about 200 or 300.

get a viper, cobra, or clifford. all are made by Directed electronics and are practically the exact same alarms, but just different brand names. they all have the exact same interfaca and instructions manuals. great alarms i sell viper at my store and they are simple to install compared to other brands. never had any problems with them, and they come with a lifetime warranty if you do have any issues.

Could you tell me about how much one of these would run me?

jut do a google search you can get a basic alarm for around 100-125 and the top end remote start 2 way systems for 200-250. thats if you are going to do the work yourself.

if you go to somewhere like best buy or circuit city you can get a basic one installed for 225-250 and the top end ones for around 500.

My friend had a Viper alarm on a 3000GT he had and it was awsome, could do so much with it. I'm not sure which one it was but I think it was abit older one so I'm sure they've gotten even better.

just last december i got a viper 350 hv system with the three fuction remote(aka the model below the remote start) and it was very reasonably priced...i think $230 ...so i got it installed at best buy because installation was included in the price...and it turns out that if i want the sensitivity adjusted all i have to do is take it in and if i ever sell my car they will take it out and install it in the new car. so far i have been very pleased
