Default security systems

i have the top of the line viper security alarm with the two way pager and i'm happy with it but i feel that i need more security features on it. my turbo timer has a feature on it that you have to enter a 4 digit code before you can start the motor. what are some other security options? are kill switches even effective? are hood locks very effective or can a thief easily break through them?

no i actualy live in a very nice community in la mesa, san diego california. however some of my best friends are black and they live close to a bad part of town plus alot of cars have been getting stolen at shopping malls. and i'm a little o.c.d with security so the more i have, the more comfortable i am with leaving my car some where.
