Default Stereo Help for new Civic 2004

Hey guys, im very new to this. My first concern is if i can change the speakers inside the car, so i can get better bass, i dont want to buy a huge subwoofer box and an amp. I just want to change out the speakers that i have in there, and get new ones that pump out a little more bass,

1) What is my best option, so that i dont have to buy a huge subwoofer box and an amp?
2) Where can i find more info on this
3) How much would this run me.

Basically i want something that is a step up from factory installed, but is at the same time concelled, so it doesnt look like i hooked it up. Your Help is greatly appreciated

well you can just swap out your factory speakers with something better or they do make stealth boxes for subs that do not take up space and it will be "hidden", you will need an amp but that can be hidden as well ie under the seat. JL Audio and Q-Logic make stealth boxes. Check out www.crutchfield.com for a good variety of speakers and options.
