Although I no longer own a Civic myself and the purchase of the 89 CRX fell through, I would like to piece together a small system for my sister's 2004 Civic EX. Naturally I have some questions, so here goes...

Does the stock HU offer full range outputs on the rear channels? I ask because I may just tap the LOC there if they do. I tend to remember my 2007 Accord being EQed and Crossed over at the rear outs which would have made tapping there for an LOC other than the sub pointless.

What is the depth available for the door speakers?

Where is the best place to run the power wire?

I wanted to swap her HU out too, but she seems content with the stock am/fm/cd and is just a poor college student who doesn't even own an iPod. For now, it stays!

Thus far, I plan to give her my old JL Audio 10w3v2 or my Digital Designs 1010 for her subwoofer. I also have a Cerwin Vega EXL-400.4 that I didn't use in a prior install along with some leftover Alpine Type R components. Sure, it won't be a street beater setup, but it should work out quite well for a poor college student.
