Default Stock 6x9 rear speakers question

Howdy

Well here is the deal... I own a 2000 Civic CX and I just found out recently it didn't come with 6x9 in the back! The wires are there and they are connected to the stereo but no speakers!!! I have a stock deck and the car is pretty much all stock... I don't expect to buy a deck or anything for it since I'm a tight budget but I was thinking I could get some factory like 6x9. Thing is I know if I go with aftermarket lots don't sound as loud as the factory ones with a stock system. So here is the question... What should I be looking for if I wanted a stock sounding 6x9 speaker? Any specs should I be looking for?

Thanks in advance for the help! It's greatly appreciated!

Buy a descent pair of speakers, no matter what brand, first. We can talk till we're blue about what model is best. Just make shure it can easily handle what your head unit can dish out. Upon installation it is key to get polarity right, cuz you don't want one speaker cancelling out the other. Which may answer why they don't seem as loud. A good pair easily sound better than stock. Also, try a little rear fader if your fronts are overpowering the rears, maybe upgrade to a small two channel amp capable of a full 75 wattsx2. See what I mean, it never ends.....lol

check the impedance as well as some factory stuff can range from 4 to 10 ohms. If they're a 10 ohm speaker they will not sound very loud on a deck rated @ 4 ohms. They would be theoretically more than half as loud. Hope that helps....or added confusion.

^ I applaud that but it is way way unneccessary. Just get some factory honda speakers. As silly as it sounds they will work best with the factory head unit.
