If they are aftermarket and can handle the extra power, then why not?

(just watch out for extra rattle.)

I got a Sony explod deck pushing pioneer speakers (stock size and location), and I got some people wondering where I hid my sub...which I don't have. OK so I can't really shake windows with the setup, but it was a huge improvement over stock. I'd say if you got the coin to do it (and you got speakers that can handle the power) go for it!

yea just make sure your amp isn't putting out too much power for the speakers. don't 6x9s already have a good amount of bass though?

i wouldnt worry about it. if you have a decent head unit they will be plenty loud enough. i have never amped my highs and have never had any issues with hearing the music/lyrics over the subs. i have all stock speakers in my cadillac no amp for them and they are clean and clear even with the subs on. i think a lot of its in the head unit.
