I need all the information I can get on what the stock speakers are in a 1997 Civic LX.. the wattage, name, dimensions, etc.

Thanks!

Pretty sure they say on a sticker on the back of them. Unless you don't have the stock speakers and are looking for them.

Even the cheesiest aftermarket speakers will sound better than stock. They are 4 ohm and I think 6.5 inch diameter both front and rear.

My 97 EX coupe has 6x9s in the rear. The factory tweeters have the Pioneer emblem on them. As for my factory 6.5s, they were garbage when I pulled them last year.

Words of caution if you are looking to replace the door speakers: You will more than likely have to trim the drip guard off the back of the door panel and you are extremely depth limited unless you want to perform some customizations. Also, the stock 6.5" driver location is a tad bit smaller than most "normal" 6.5" drivers. For example, the Alpine type S or Type R 6.5 fit just fine whereas CDT, Genesis, and Mach5 Audio 6.5s wouldn't fit without heavy customization.
