Default sub.

my brother has this sub, and amp combo. he's got a 12 inch infiti sub, 1200w. and an MTX 300 watt amp. i know the difference is not good, and it shouldn't even work well. he's had it runing for a while. just recently he's heard it to sound fluttering. i figure its the amp, cause the sub still has a real good seal. when you push it in, and it's got the slow relase coming out. i've had this problem in my car. my subs where sound fluttering, it was the amp that was the problem. could this be the same. i haven't hooked it up to my amp, but i shall try.

it doesnt really matter what you combo with. Its like saying a different brand tire that wasnt originally found on the wheels will eventually screw up.

Eh?

It could be the amp, hook up the sub to your amp and see what it does.
