Sub Wiring Problems
I didnt scroll thru the posts but this has happened to me before. I actually had RCA patch cable go bad on me. Replace them to be safe. Swing by the radio smack and pick up a 16ft cable. Not really a sound difference there and actually the radio smack normally has better cable.
RCA connectors are trash. They are meant to be plugged in once and forgotten about. If you start connecting and diconnecting them repeatedly, they can go bad. First, replace the cable. If that doesn't work, can you take apart your head unit or your amp, right where the connectors are? You might just need to re-solder the RCA jack from the inside.
Taking apart the headunit is kinda rediculous. If RCA's go bad, just replce it, absolutley no need to re solder anything.
Edit note: And in another way, anything headunit or amp wise that needs to be resoldered from the inside needs to get looked at. Something like that would have to be exposed to humidifying salty air. And really in a nut shell, that has absolutley nothing to do with the problem. Even I (in 10 years of experience) havent come across anything like that. No flaming intended.

Check the ground on the amp, it may be strong enough to power the amp light on but not power the subs. Im guessing u got the remote wire hooked up correctly? Make sure the subs are connected to the box on the inside....lol thats a funny one......make sure the subs hooked up correctly to the amp. Make sure u have the RCAs hooked up to the "Rear out" (Thats for subwoofer amps).......idk try that then tell us whats going on. Its more than likely something stupid.
well i found out one one side(red) was bad so i changed it but i only tested out using a tv rca cable only using the audio side still didnt work but imma buy a new cable tommorow and hope fully thats the problem. ill keep u posted on how that goes thanks guys.
n ya im sure that the connections from the amp to the subs is perfect cuz the subs were workin fine at the start of the day, the only reason why i took out the deck is cuz the left front speakers wernt workin. so i fixed that and then boom my subs dont work, but ill buy a new cable tommorow and hopefully thats the problem, ill even try using the other amp i have to clearify that its not the amp. it maybe that the deck's is messed up [
] newayz will keep u posted

There is no difference between home audio RCAs and Car audio RCAs
Does your deck have a sub output? If so and its pioneer if you unplugged it the sub out will turn off and kill all signall to the RCAs. Youll need to turn it on and in Pios this can be tricky sometimes.

Remington, you're right -- taking the head unit apart is probably a bad idea, I'm sorry for suggesting that!
but if we're talking about experience, I worked in live audio for 7 years, and I saw a lot of RCAs go bad from the inside (mostly on CD decks) and we would always just pop the thing apart and resolder the connection. And like mill$civic said above, it does happen to amps too, so I think overall my point still stands, kind of.
No flames intended here either

Everything listed above could be the cause of your problem. I've been installing stereo equip. as a hobby since I was 16. Went to school for electronics back in the day. That was 16yrs. ago. and I've seen some weird things to cause problems. Like some H.U.'s have to have the ant. plugged in to work. Used as a ground. When you took your head unit out to fix left speaker problem you may have knocked something loose or fried something. Make sure you have power on remote wire and that it's connected to remote and not power ant. wire. May not matter in your case. But if it was working before you took the H.U. out then more than likely that's where the problem is. Good Luck. Keep us posted.
