The positive terminal on the battery being loose was the problem. I got it fixed and everything is fine now. My amps turn on alot quicker now that I fixed the terminal.

It did it again!!!! So, I guess it isn't the battery after all.....

I decided to check the amp to make sure everything inside of it was o.k.

Well, I opened it up and noticed this.........

One of the capasitors/resistor things came unsoldered. So, I soldered it back on.

It seems to work fine now, but I guess I will just have to wait and see if it does it again.......

Well what do you know.........it did it again. Screw this, I'll just buy a new amp and be done with it.

 

They don't come unsoldered for no reason....

Make sure you have a solid ground on the actual body of the car, not the trunk lid, or a piece of metal that was tack welded into the car.

 

I thought the amps were just grounded to the battery.....

Plus, it only does it when the car is off.....So I don't think itis a grounding problem.

 

Your amp is grounded directly to the battery? Check for any corrosion around it.

 

I checked it. it's fine. no corrosion. I'm going to hook the new amps up and see if that fixes it. It should....

 

Yea coulda been just the amp randomly blew a soder.
