a subwoofer output means that you can control the volume of the subwoofer. That is an interesting headunit. But why wold you want to waste your money on something like that when you can get a better one for just as good?

 

no! i have this HEAD UNIT! i have the honda civic special edition at it comes with this... can i connect my amp into this head unit? and what remote control could i use for it?

 

Call your local honda dealer for the remote information they can sell/order it for you. Pull the radio and look for pre outs. You gotta do alittle bit to get a little bit. We cannot look at a radio that is not infront of us. Remmie/DCA if I am wrong jump on it Superman style and work your voodoo.

Yea...It not a matter of knowing everything just enough to get started. Subwoofer outout will be a set/or single RCA jack on the back of the H/U. It designates a lower frequencie to the subwoofers to avoid unwanted sound ranges ie...words,cymbals high pitch noises. Allow for a seperate gain for subwoofer volume control at the front of the car as apposed to every time you want to turn them lower you do not have to go to the back of the car and physically change it on the amp.

 

so if i have one of those.... do i need still need a amp? ...... and with one of those would i need bass blockers? .... gosh i suck at this sorry....

Its ok, once again I seriously doubt that the stock head unit you have has subwoofer outputs... im willing to bet my pink slips... BUT wether you do or not if you get an amp that im talking about ( line level inputs, remember?), you wont need sub outs on your headunit because I remember when I had my stock speakers and headunit, even at max volume the speakers really didnt destort much when the bass was pumped up, so relax. Most likely you wont need bass blockers. It also is a plus that you get an amp with a little bass remote... that way you can be a lazy bastard and turn the amp up or down if you want to.

 

ohh i see i see i get it now... BUT lets say my headunit does have subwoofer outputs... then how would i approach the situation?..... with the amps and stuff.....
