hey guys im new to car audio so what i would like to know is what 6 1/2 and 6x9 should i get. i dont know any brand names. im looking for more of a good quality sounds than a boom boom sound. soo what would be the best speakers for me to get. i want to spend around 200 for all the speakers. thanks guy!!! 98 coupe by the way

definitly. ive owned both kinds of speakers, and imo, alpine sounds better. especially if you put an amp through them.

 

depends what line of alpine or pioneer. they have different levels of quality. ive been very pleased with the alpine stuff ive bought. my cousin has pioneer and its good quality stuff. ive heard good things about Polk and Infinity as well, doubt youll find those for that price range though.

 

[hr]could a kenwood work or it sounds crappy cuz my friend had pioneer and it sound crappy on his and then he changed it to premiers and it sounded better

 

Basically anything will sound clear to a point. You clip them they will distort. Higher end stuff will typically get louder with more power. All depends on your budget.

Infinity speakers are awesome. but i personally perfer alpines. the difference between the two, is that the infinity is gonna have a stronger tweeter, so it will put out more highs. and the alpines will put out more mid range. but both are very clear, clean speakers and worth every penny you pay.

I have alpines now and love them, but in the past I had pioneers and they sounded great too. the difference between the two is that the pioneers could not handle as much power so I upgraded to alpines and got a 4ch amp which really increases the clarity of the speakers. So if you are wanting a good clean sound, get a 4 channel amp to go with whatever speakers you buy.
