For your first go round, I think 2 10" Infinity Kappa Perfects IN A SEALED BOX will make you happy. Im almost 100% positive many here will back that advice up with my track record in this forum.

Kappa Perfects are amazing subs for the price. Definitely not the loudest sub, but sounds great. I would probably put it in a vented enclosure though.
Alpine Type R's can be had for about the same price - sound almost as good, but get LOUD if they're in a correctly built vented enclosure. I've seen a single 12" hit 136db at a local competition and still be musical.

im still not too clear on the relationship between the speakers RMS and the amps RMS....hoping someone could explain. i want to see if this amp can run these speakers together front and rear. and what is ohms about does it matter if one speaker set is 4ohms and the other is 2ohms?
