Default Removing logos

I was just wondering if there is an easy way to take off the "civic"/"ex" on the back of my car..i think it would look cleaner without those two. I also wanted to remove the "H" on the back and paint it black and put it back on..Any help? Thanks

Well.. To take it off is easy, get a rag or something.. And a flathead screw driver and just pry it off, its only held on by a glue substance, then get some goo-b-gone or whatever its called, and use that to get rid of the glue. Then possibly wax over the spot just to make sure its all off.

haha, "goo b gone"....it's just called goo gone and i used it as well. easiest way is fishing line. leaves a cleaner cut than dental string. then use a little bit of goo gone. then wash it off with soap. then wax the spots or use a mildly abrasive compound if it's tough to remove. then wax if you want it to look like they were never there. it sounds like a lot, but only takes a good half hour for everything.

When i remove them though will there be a sign of removal? Or will the goo gone stuff take out any traces of removal? Another thing is what should i use to paint the honda logo? I want to paint it black and put it back on..is there a special adhesive i should use when putting the logo back on? And just out of curiosity where can i get a "s" that is the same size as the "ex" on the back of the car? I know it may sound cheesy but i wanna make it instead of "ex" to "sex" in black. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

Thanks for the tips. With this information, I removed the local Honda dealership logo from the rear of my Civic. Pried the metal placard up with a metal putty knife (tip covered in duct tape to prevent scratching), scraped excess glue off with a plastic putty knife, and waxed the area. Can't tell the placard was ever there.

if you want all of the letters to match up,remove the 'ex' badge like mentioned in the above posts and just use small vinyl lettering to spell what you want. a bunch of manufacturers use vinyl as badging for identifying cars. if not, then go to an automotive parts place, and look for chrome badge kits so you can apply them yourself and all match up with one another using adhesive strips.
