Default Tips on polishing stock fuel rail and valve cover.

I am trying to polish my fuel rail on my 94 Civic Coupe Ex. I tried using simple green but that didn't get the job done to well. Any suggestions on polishing that and the valve cover would be helpful.

I was bored one day and used 000 steel wool to clean the valve cover. It didn't result in a shiny, glistening, polished surface but it cleaned it very well, and the surface is now relatively uniform. The exhaust heat sheild ended up looking like it was sporting fresh chrome.

like trust said, wetsand it. I'd wetsand it down with 800-1000 grit, then polish the heck out of it with aluminum polish.
