08 si rev hang

Default 08 si rev hang

my 08 civic si has a terrible rev hang between shifts. i was wondering if honda had put out a software update o fix this. i know hondata would fix this but i do not want to pay six hundred dollars and not be able to drive my car for a few days. somebody please help me find a solution here. thanks

rev hang, like it doesn't drop the rpms quickly between shifts?

yea would you not want that? I love it on my friends 07 Si. Its keeps the car in the power band during shifts, its great IMO.

I have read something about this on a review site. Something about the si's having an electronic throttle doesn't allow the RPM's to drop immediately as some older manual cars (motorcycles, dirtbikes, pretty much anything with a clutch) tend to do. Could be an easy adjustment, or something that just doesn't go away. Personally, I'm with 315 customs, I would want the RPM's to stay fairly high as long as its not damaging the clutch when you throw it into the next gear.
