Default 91 octane tune

can I put a high octane gas into my b16 (with headers, intake, wideband, fpr, etc...) and just advance the timing on the distributer manually? I mean, I can take a bigger advance if I have a higher octane, right?

yeah, but you should have 91+ all the time anyways with a B16. but advance it to 18* and youll be fine, but no more than that. it wouldnt really help anyway.

Exactly, the compression ratio on a B16 warrants 91 in the first place. You might be able to get away with 18* on 93 octane, but like Sac said, the 2Hp wouldn't really be worth it.
