Default 95 DX Tach

I want to add a tach to my car since it doesn't have one as it is. I've read that you can just buy a factory tach/speedo cluster from a civic of similar model year and plug it right in to the existing wires. I went on ebay and saw a cluster with a tach but in the picture showing the back it had an extra plug as compared to the non-tach cluster. I'm assuming this plug is meant for the tach but there is no extra wire anywhere in the dash of my car to plug into it. Has anyone been able to do this before. If not then how would I go about adding one of those big single face tachs?

A factory one would work... there's about a million posts about this on here. Try using the search to find some more info.

Welcom to the forum though!

I did it to my car, it is just plug and play. no extra wires required. the two plugs on either side of it are for power, and the one (yellow, i think it is) is for the tach and speedo if i'm not mistaken. So to essentially answer your question, yes it is a plug and play, just plug it into your car, and start it up and watch it go, then put it all back together again.
