Default DEQ HELP Oregon People Help Me Out!!!

i have a 1994 Civic EX 1.6 Vetch Single, Header intake greedy exhaust, i just put a new O2 sensor, coil, cap rotor plug and wire and oil change and the thing wont pass DEQ, i messed with timing and improved slightly but its still to high on Carbon 1.7-1.9 ( needs to be below 1)and Hydrocarbons, 286-330 (needs to be under 200) everything i can see points to its getting to much fuel or not enough air, its an intake with a new clean KN Filter so i dont think its an air issue whats my next choice i dont want to buy a new cat, so im think the air fuel mixture, how do i change it and by how much any ideas?

i'd suggest cleaning your engine with seafoam and put the stock exhaust back on it to pass emissions. clean your ivac and fitv

do you have any cel 's on

No Check engine light, anyone use sea foam good bad? Also where are the valves to check, the car runs out very smooth and has good power, where is the air fuel mixture screw?

On the throttle body. Look it up, RonJ has walkthroughs in his signature.

There's no idle problem, right? If so, I don't suggest messing with the IACV or FITV.

-Does the CEL work?

-Is the ignition timing set to spec?

-Has the valve clearance been adjusted?

-Do you have an exhaust leak near the O2 sensor?

-Does the engine seem to be running cold by the dash temp gauge?

-Is the fuel pressure high or is a fuel injector stuck open?

Well im not exactly sure what the CEL is...sorry, the check engine was on for a bit and i replaced the O2 it went out, first run through DEQ Failed then came the other work see previous and now im here, it idles smooth, occasional it will drop from 750 rpm to 500 and stay there till i give it some gas then back to 750, but come to think of it at time it will jump from 750 to 1500 then back down and so on. but that random at best...

Temp gauge is fine same basic temp all the time no drastic changes.

I have never opened the it up no valve work etc.

timing is about factory give or take, but the cars runs good, i burn about 1/2 a quart of oil a month, heavy foot but its got 152K so...

What do you think
