Default distributor woes!!!!

Alright, I am looking for some help from you guys- so tell me what you think.
My daughter has a 94 Del Sol, 1.6L. We replaced the distributor a little over a year ago. Now, everytime it rains orhave morning dew the car doesn't crank.
It turns over but doesn't crank. When we leave it - it cranks fine later in the day.
If we expect rain, we can place a towel over the distributor and when we get ready to leavewe remove the towel, the car cranks and everything is fine. What is going on. Can someone suggest a fix so that we are not watching the weather channel all the time or having to remove a towel before we drive off? Thanks in advance, Joe

Is the cap securely bolted to the dizzy housing? (don't over-tighten, those little bolts will break)

Is the seal around the outter portion of the cap in place?

forty is probably correct, your getting water inside the distributor as a result of pour seal somewhere
