which ecu ?

Default which ecu ?

Hey everyone just got a 99 civic ex.
The car has a b18b bottom end
Gsr p72 head
Type r transmission
And p73 jdm ecu
My question is what ecu should I use just for smog purposes ?
This is my first honda
Well modified honda

can't think of one ecu that will run it properly. if I had to guess, for with a gsr ecu if you can disable the CEL you will receive for not have butterflies in the manifold. I suppose you could use one from a b16 civic or a type R integra too.

So a gsr intake manifold has butterflies? So a gsr ecu would be my best bet
Am I correct

Yes, a gsr manifold has butterflies from the factory
