Default ECU info needed....

Hi, I got a 95 Civic EX 1.6 Vtec. Ive had the car for a little while now. The CEL has always been on. I just recently put a new dizzy and O2 sensor in it. Its still throwing O2 and now Cyl sensor codes. But, I just noticed it has a P06 ECU in it. After further research, I found out that it should have a P28. Is this a valid statement? The car has been running ok, but I feel it should run better. Are these codes being thrown because the ecu dosnt recognize the new parts? Any insight on this would be great. Should I get that P06 out and install the P28? Thx!

Yes, install a P28. Was the P06 modified at all? I have seen chipped P06s with a P28 tune on it.

I dont think there is any mods on the P06. Would that be why I have CEL codes?

Not sure. Check the codes to see what is being thrown.
