Default engine harness replacement

all right!? i have a question to ask you guys. has anyone done a complete harness swap from an obd2 to an obd1? if so...can you guys help me out. i am getting this obd1 b16a2 complete swap and was looking into completely swappin out the harness and all. is it that difficult to get to taking it out? i just don't like to see cut wires and soldered and taped wires in my car. any clue on this guys? i'm in need of help...thanks ahead of time...

as long as your good at taking your interior apart and putting it back together you should be able to avoid to much cutting but some things it will just be easier to cut

or lets' say can i just cut and solder the harness with the obd1 plugs? get what i'm saying? can i just use my obd2a harness and just cut what wires i need and solder them to my engine harness? would that be easier? if so, does anyone know of a DIY walkthrough of somesort? thanks in advance!
