whats a good ecu for a 98 civic 2dr. ex?

 

Stock OBD2a P2P. No reason to have anything else unless it is required.

 

bingo. If it was one with a modified motor (boosted or built in some way other than bolt ons) then you'd NEED an obd1 ecu like a p28

 

so then the OBD2a P2P is what i have in there now? or is that what i should get?

 

its what you have now. Why do you want another ecu? It's not as simple as swapping one in. If you have a p28, you'd need an obd2a to obd1 conversion harness, and then need it chipped/tuned with crome, neptune, uberdata, hondata. Hondata and Neptune can be expensive. I think until I was all said and done on my ecu and tune , it was roughly
700 for hondata with boost control, and the conversion harness
300 for the tune. So it's not a 100$ investment.

 

i know that. i want the extra power and gas mileage.

 

You will get that with the ECU that is required forr your motor..P2P
