Default i really need some answers guys about my tac

ok so on certain days my engine rev limitor will be different...........like it will redline at 4500 rpms......(atleast thats what it says on the tac) then normally it goes to 5500rpms on the tac......but now im getting to 6,000 on the tac? pretty much i never know when my rev limitor is going to kick in.......so is it just my tac? or is my ecu playing tricks on me or what? please let me guess.

I have two rev limiters on my '06 Si one at 5500 when not moving or not under a load. It rev limits at over 8000 when actually running in gear under a load. This might be what your experiencing, but I am not sure since I am not driving your vehicle.

what exactly makes you think its the limiter? is this something new? after a tune or engine work? give us the symptoms, it may not be what you think it is.... does it start to misfire or cut out??? any smoking? all gears the same?
