I just bought the car used a month ago and it didn't come with a keyless entry remote. After looking in the manual I saw that it was standard on the car, and that all I needed to do was to buy a remote off of ebay and program it myself. I recieved the remote in mail on saturday and spent all weekend trying to program the remote. The red led on the remote lights up but the cars locks do not do anything. I have follwed the instructions to the tee. After searching online I wondering if the I don't have the right remote. Can anyone here tell me what their fcc id is for a 2003 honda civic ex. The fcc id for the remote that I bought off of ebay is a269zua106. When I type that number into google it looks as though it is the fcc id number for the 96-00 civics. Any help would be appreciated. not to be an ***, but i think you kinda answered your own question there. I would have to say you got the wrong year. i just googled "fcc id" 03 civic and i got NHVWB1U523.

 

I know, I'm just trying to be sure. The auction said the remote would work on 99-04 civics. I think the seller just didn't know what he was offering. He told me if I couldn't get it to work that he would refund me. I just want to make sure that the next remote I order is the right one. I'm going to order a remote with the fcc id NHVWB1U521 unless anyone here objects. Thanks for the response.
