My car will not rev past 3000 rpm, engine light and key light on

Default My car will not rev past 3000 rpm, engine light and key light on

2002 honda civic lx 4 door standard, wont rev past 3000rpm top speed is 90........ my engine light and green key light is flashing, its like if the cars in safe mode!!!?? The odd thing is i tried 3 diagnostic tools to scan it and everytime it said no codes, no communication !?!?!??

Reset the ECU and then pull the codes as they come back.

i did reset and nothing what i did is unplug battery for 30 minutes nothing. so i touched the positive and negative together for 15 seconds and still nothing

OMG Don't do that! Just pull the back up fuse for 10 seconds!

​​​​I'm sure this guy figured out his problem by now! Just wanted to update for others who experience this problem. In most cases this would be caused by a faulty ecu or secondly the immobilizer has failed.
