Default Need Help CIVIC NOT RUNNING

I have a D15 in my car right now Im saving for a B18a but I need to get a few more parts and need my civic running again. It was running like poop after I put the ignition module in the distributor but it was still running. Heres the story I was driving home from work with the same old sputtering crap I have been dealing with ever since I did my head gasket. It sounds like it is out of time but I had a garage do the timing as I dont have a timing light and still it ran like crap. I came up to a stop light and it started puttering more than it has before, I could barely keep it running. I tried starting it and it putters like its about to start but doesnt and also makes a weird sound like something is grinding right at the end but it still turns over.

Now I need this car for work so that I can save the last little bit before I can afford my b18. I really need help so any suggestions you could offer would be helpful.

Thank you for your time,
Tyler

Was it running bad before you messed with the dist.? If not change it back. Anything we should know about the car. History of problems in the past. Hard to really say without seeing it and being able to eliminate certain things. I suggest taking it to your local Honda dealership and letting them check it out. They charge a diagnostic fee but it would be worth it instead of spending alot of wasted time and replacing parts that aren't bad. Good luck and keep us posted.

^^Yeah, either that or the belt itself is damaged.
