O2 sensor again
Hi .. Few weeks back i got my check engine light came up.. I checked code in autozone and found that it is P0135. I got a troubleshotting flow chart from net. I did the troubleshotting by measuring the resistance between the termial 3 and 4 from the sensor and other coupld of voltage checks. Everything was fine. So i reseted the light by pulling off the back fuse.
It was all fine for few weeks. Later few days back. I got the check engine light was on again. I took to autozone and again and checked it. It was again P0135. This time when i measured the resistance, i see the 3 and 4 termials are open. As per the flow chart they asked me to replace the o2 sensor. But my car got only 60K (97 CIVIC).
If the O2 sensor is bad.. i have been driving with it for past few weeks.. do you think it will cause any problem to the engine..(Surprisingly my milliage is better now)
Do you think i need to change the O2 sensor?
When i checked the price of it in autozone it was around 85$, it is a good price?
Do i need to have the OEM_Loaner, O2 sensor socket to remove the old sensor?
It costs around 15$
So do i have any alternative for that?
Please Please help me out...

P0135 Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor (Primary HO2S) (Sensor 1) Heater Circuit Malfunction
Yeah you will probably need to replace the O2 sensor, look for a Bosche universal, they are normally less expensive than OEM, around 60-70 bucks.
You do not need an O2 socket to remove it, an adjustable wrench will work fine.
