speaking of this, what size wrench do i need for a d16y8 o2 sensor?
I think it's an 18, If I remember correctly. You can get a special socket though that comes in REAL handy. It has a slit in it for the wiring. Defintiely helps prevent the broken knuckles

No no. The 02 simulator splices in righ tbefore the sensor itself. Do not cut the wires. Shave the wires and then wire it up.

Yes, not directly, but if you take it out you will have a CEL on all the time which will make your car run rich.
I've never heard of the secondary O2 sensor bieng in the feedback loop for the A/F ratio. I don't think that it would help your emissions by running your car rich if the 2nd O2 sensor is disconnected. When you disconnect the 2nd O2 sensor the computer doesn't know its disconnected it just knows that there is a 0v signal coming from it. If the cat is actually not working (which is what the 2nd O2 sensor tells the PCM) then giving more fuel would just make the emissions worse. If you could explain how the 2nd O2 sensor works in the feedback loop it would be much appreciated by me.
