timing is at 17 degrees btdc I believe the specs are 16-20.. the terminal was jumped when I checked timing.... if it is not jumped for some reason could that cause a rich condition?

the ecu wont allow the timing to adj when you do it if its not jumped. the ecu will just override it and stay on factory settings

man this is mind boggling...lol... do you have any other suggestions that I might try?
