Default SI gauge cluster, will it work?

Will a 99-00 SI gauge cluster work for a 97 EX 5-speed? Also can i get the odometer accellerated to match my odometer?

as long as it is the same size and shape as the 97 cluster it should work just fine plug and play, not sure however about the odometer issues

its plug and play. and dont worry about the miles, esp if they are less than yours. the higher they are, the lower the value of the cluster if you ever want to sell it again

The only reason i want the mileage to match is because if the DMV finds out that you put a odometer in your car with less mileage than what the car is at they will mark the car with a mileage tampered warning on it forever. Thats cool that everything is plug and play, i was worried that the tach and the mph were going to be off.

thats true, but if you ever do a swap, then thats all wonky anyway, because the ECU stores mileage too. i guess i just dont worry about resale value anymore.[&:]

Is there a way to get the mileage out of the ECU? That would probably be some handy info to have about a swap. I think I read somewhere around here that you can actually switch the odometers and keep your one with the original miles on it. Maybe I just made that up, it was a while ago.

ive seen too many people break perfectly good clusters trying to do that, so i dont suggest it, but it is possible on some clusters. and maybe if you took the ECU to the acura dealer they could scan it to see miles. i think that only works on obd2 though.
