Default venom 400 installed.

In the past there has been a thread about venom-400 really doing any thing, or not doing anything. Today I got it installed finally, along with a few other things, and I must say, the results are mixed. First off, along with venom, I installed AEM fuel rail, FPR, that was set at 65 PSI instead of the stock 43, advanced ignition timing all the way on the distributor.

In the lower RPM's, with venom swithced on, I seemed to have gained a good amount of torque. The car feels stronger. You hear people saying well, all you have to do is push the gas further and you will get the same effect, well, maybe so, but still, Id say independ of pushing the gas down further, I gained 5lbstq. In higher RPM's, when I slamed on the gas, it downs shifts like crazy, but at WOT, I cant say I gained anything other then 1-2 hp.

So, is it worth the $300, no..........
Is it worth half that, perhaps..

But still, worth it or not, it is funner with venom then without.

Why in tarnation are you running 65 pounds of fuel pressure? I run ~ 65psi at full boost and I am still rich. You must be spraying cars behind you.

What the hell is a Venom? And why in the hell did you pay $300 for it? You could have gotten Hondata for $300.

I didnt' pay 300 for it, not in hell. I got it from ebay for 150. This was primarily before I was well informed of it.
Strangely enough Im not runnin rich with 65psi, the car doesnt bog, and the plugs are fine. My mechanic set the FPR at 65, beats me, I told him I probably am runnin rich, took the car for a spin and the plug was fine.
Venom, its that 400 module that supposed to increase your perfomance, although if I knew about Hondata before, I would have glady paid the extra 150 to get it. Its just that this venom module has been laying around for a while, and I wanted to see if it really does anything.

i dont no about these chips, i always read that they screw with your computer and makes your car all off, so even tho you may be getting more power its worse for the running condition

hmm, well, I dont know, so I cant for sure say if it hurt the computer or not, but long as I gained power with something fairly reputable, Im happy.
