Default Venom 400

I posted this in the Electronics and ECU section, but no one seemed to respond.

I was thinking about getting this venom 400 module for my civic, but need some help on this. Has any one ever tried it, does it deliver any thing? It's like $300 on Jegs, but I can get one on Ebay for 150, so some what of a deal. Can some one tell me if it is worth the 150$? I know Im not going to gain like 50 hp ok, but is it noticible, and will it make my car move quicker thanbefore.

Thanks for your time fellas!

Default RE: Venom 400

I've heard some people get as much as 10hp using this but who knows. every car is different too. Most mods you do will not give you noticeable gains, in other words, you aren't really going to feel it when you hit the gas. BUT, the more mods you do, the bigger the overall effect will be. If you just put the chip in your car, you might not feel much. but if you put the chip, throttle body, air intake, exhaust, headers, fuel rail, pulleys, and other basic bolt-ons all at once, you WILL feel the difference.

So, if you got a good deal on the chip.. get it. I think$150 is pretty good deal. As you put more upgrades in your car, it will get faster.
