Default VTEC controller

I looked around for awhile and couldn't find an answer using search so, i am wondering, because i am doing a mini-me swap, if i can just get a vtec controller and not have to also get the P28 or what ever.

Thanks

Someone correct me if i'm wrong because i'm not sure. But i would assume that that would not work because the ECU basically doesn't know what Vtec is, so getting a vtec controller would be useless because how can you change something in the ECU that isn't their.

VTEC controllers suck, let the ecu do it as Honda knows their cars better than anyone.

It's not opinion, a stock p28 will work on your setup tons better than trying to work around it.
